Effective October 13, 2026

This page covers three things: this website, the shop’s accounts on social media, and the Milky Flakes team app.

This website

milkyflakes.com is the website of Milky Flakes, an ice cream shop at 1399 N Main St, Walnut Creek, California.

The site does not ask you for anything. It has no accounts and no forms, it sets no cookies, and it carries no advertising, analytics or tracking tools.

Like every website, the company that hosts it for us receives what your browser sends when it asks for a page, such as your IP address, your browser type and the page requested, and keeps technical logs to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not use those logs to identify visitors.

If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you write, and we use them to answer you.

The site links to our pages on TikTok and Instagram and to a map. Those services are run by other companies under their own privacy policies.

We do not track visitors over time or across other websites, and nobody else does so through this site. The site therefore behaves the same whether or not your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal.

The site is for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Our accounts on social media

Milky Flakes runs its own accounts on social media, including TikTok (@milky.flakes01) and Instagram (@milkyflakeswc).

We read the figures those services give an account’s owner about its own account, through the services’ official tools: for example the daily counts of views, likes, comments, shares and followers, and public posts that mention or tag the shop.

We use them inside our own company, to see how our posts are doing and to plan staffing and stock around busy days. The figures are totals: they count views and followers and do not name the people behind them. Posts that mention us are public, and we see them with the name of the account that posted them, as anyone can.

We do not sell this information or pass it to anyone outside the company, other than service providers who store and process it for us. What each service collects about the people who use it is governed by that service’s own privacy policy.

The Milky Flakes team app

Who we are

Milky Flakes is an ice cream shop in Walnut Creek, California. The Milky Flakes app is our internal workspace. It is built for our own team and is not offered to the general public. Accounts are created by invitation only.

What the app collects

Account details: your name, work email address, and an optional avatar, used to identify you inside the workspace.

Content you create: messages, threads, direct messages, files and photos you share, menu and operations records, and notes. This content is visible to teammates according to where you post it (a channel, a group, or a direct message).

Calls and Syncs: live audio/video is transmitted through our real-time infrastructure. When a call or Sync is recorded, the recording is stored along with an automated transcript and AI-generated meeting notes, and is available to participants and the team.

Device tokens: an identifier from Apple's push notification service so the app can notify you about messages, replies, calls, and invites.

What the app does not do

No advertising, no trackers, and no analytics SDKs. We do not sell or share your information with data brokers, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

How your information is used

Solely to run the workspace: delivering messages and notifications, placing calls, storing shared files, producing transcripts and meeting notes, and powering in-app assistants that answer questions using our own operational data.

Some features use trusted service providers under contract: cloud data hosting, real-time call infrastructure, speech-to-text transcription, and AI model providers that process the specific content a feature needs (for example, a recorded Sync to produce its notes, or a question you ask an in-app expert). These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Retention and deletion

Workspace content is retained while the workspace operates so the team keeps its shared history. Your account is deactivated when you leave the team.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

The app is a workplace tool for our team and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
